What you noticed is worth a vet's eyes soon. Rabbits are good at hiding when something is wrong, so it's best to have your exotic vet take a look before anything has a chance to progress. Book a routine appointment in the next day or two, and call sooner if anything gets worse.
What it can mean
A mucky bottom or poop stuck to the fur is often associated with the rabbit not eating their cecotropes (the soft, nutrient-rich droppings that are a normal part of rabbit digestion). This can happen because of obesity making it hard to reach, arthritis limiting movement, a diet too high in starch or sugar causing loose cecotropes, or an underlying digestive issue. It also carries a risk of flystrike (fly eggs hatching into maggots on the skin), so it is worth a vet visit soon to find the root cause.
