What it can mean
Because visible blood is a vet emergency in rabbits, the vet's exam matters most, but blood can come from several places: blood in or near the urine can be associated with uterine cancer (in unspayed females), a bladder infection, or urinary stones; blood from the nose or mouth can be associated with dental disease or injury; and blood elsewhere can indicate trauma or internal bleeding. Any visible blood needs same-day veterinary assessment.
