Conversations with Ask BunnyChart were not being kept, so coming back to a chat or opening Past chats showed nothing. That's fixed. From now on, every chat is saved, so you can pick up where you left off.
Leo was a gentle grey Rex rabbit who spent seven years beside the person who builds BunnyChart. He passed away on August 26. There's now a page in his memory, with his story and his photo album. You'll find For Leo at the top of our site. Forever part of home.
The links at the top of our public pages were getting squeezed, and some names were breaking onto two lines. On a big screen everything now sits in one balanced row, and on smaller screens the menu gets its own clean row under the logo. Every link stays on one line at every size.
On narrow phone screens, our public pages could scroll sideways a little, because the logo and the sign-up button didn't quite fit side by side. The logo now sizes itself to your screen, so the pages stay put the way they should.
The daily check-in now sits right at the top of your bunny's page, so the thing you came to do is the first thing you see. Your bunny's Story is still one glance away, just beside it instead of above it.
If it's been about a year since your bunny's last logged vet visit, we'll send you a gentle nudge to book a checkup. This used to be part of the paid Care calendar, but a reminder that protects your bunny's health belongs to everyone, so it now works on the free plan too. Rabbits hide illness well, and a yearly exam catches what you can't see.
The last screen of our welcome used to say a check-in takes 30 seconds. On a good day it is one tap, so we say that instead, and the button now takes you straight to your bunny's check-in. We also removed a claim about check-in streaks that we could not actually stand behind.
Section headings used to have a thick coloured bar down one side, on nearly every screen. We have swapped it for a soft warm line under the heading instead, which is quieter to look at and makes it clearer where one section ends and the next begins. Nothing moved and nothing was removed, it just reads a little calmer now.
The headings on our sign-in, sign-up and password screens were the same soft brown as the text underneath them, which made those pages feel a bit washed out and harder to scan. They are darker now, so you can see at a glance which screen you are on.
Your home page now leads with today's check-in, so the thing you came to do is the first thing you see. And if a check-in ever fails to save, we say so properly now, in a box you cannot miss, with what to do next, instead of one small line of red text under the button. Your entry is never lost when that happens.
Your reminders and gentle nudges (a birthday, a medication refill, a checkup coming due) are meant to land in your morning. Until now we only learned your timezone if you happened to open the reminder settings, so for most people we were going by the clock on our servers instead of yours. Your device already knows, so we pick it up quietly in the background now. No setting to find, and if you travel it follows you.
Send a question or report something broken from the Support page and it now arrives in our inbox the moment you hit send, instead of sitting in a queue waiting to be spotted. If your bunny is unwell and you need us, that difference matters.
On a good day you can now tap "all good today" straight from your home page, without opening the bunny first. If something does seem off, "Something's off, let me say more" takes you to the full check-in where you can say how eating, droppings and behaviour are going and add a note. We also fixed our own description of this on the front page, which made it sound like more work than it is.
If you have reminders switched on, BunnyChart will now nudge you on the days a bunny still needs a check-in or a medication logged. That had quietly not been reaching anyone, so you may not have seen one before even with the setting turned on. It works now. You can change your reminder time, or turn reminders off entirely, in Settings.
Lots of small touch-ups to the parts you meet first. Signing up is simpler: you can now use Google, or have us email you a link so there is no password to invent. The symptom guide has a search box, and every result tells you at a glance how urgent that sign is. The food checker is one tap from the menu now, instead of sitting behind a sign-in. And the sign-in screens have a friendly face on them, with the most important safety verdicts in a bolder, easier-to-spot colour.
We went back over our food guidance against the House Rabbit Society and other trusted rabbit-welfare experts and tightened a couple of things. The pellet portion now matches their exact figure, and we took one processed store treat off our shop because its own label was mostly grain and molasses, not the hay and veggies we want. Hay first, fresh greens daily, and pellets and treats kept small stays the heart of good rabbit feeding.
Signing in with Google is steadier now, especially the first time each day. And if a brief hiccup ever does slip through, you land on a calm page with a Try again button, not a bare error screen.
Three more screens now make proper use of a big screen. Symptom help shows your form beside a short note on what to expect, with a one-tap call your vet button right at the top. Your bunny's details form pairs its short fields side by side (on Add a bunny too), and Symptom patterns lays its cards out two across with a big day count and a little dot calendar of the days a sign showed up. On your phone, everything stays the same cozy single column.
Hop plans now have a Care calendar: gentle reminders for nail trims and yearly checkups, plus seasonal notes as the weather turns. Log a trim in one tap and it works out the next one, keep a running tally of what you spend on care, and get a short Sunday email only when something's actually due. You can also add the day each bunny came home, so their Story tells it from the very start.
We're adding privacy-respecting analytics so we can see how the app is used and keep improving it, and we updated our privacy policy to explain it plainly. It's cookieless, never collects your IP address, and never receives your rabbits' health details, photos, or email. It runs in the EU, and your browser's Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control setting turns it off automatically.
You can now see everything that changes in BunnyChart in one friendly place. We'll keep it updated whenever something new lands, so you never miss an improvement made for you and your bunny.
Type in your postal code, ZIP, or city, and BunnyChart lists rabbit-savvy exotic vets closest to you first, with how far away each one is. No more scrolling a long list trying to guess which one is nearby.
Each account now gets one welcome gift code. It keeps free trials fair for everyone, and if you're like most owners who use just one code, nothing changes for you at all.
Chats hold a much longer back-and-forth now, so a follow-up question makes sense without repeating yourself. Your conversation is also saved and picks up right where you left off, with a Past chats list to reopen an old one and a New chat button to start fresh.
There's now a Guides link in the site menu that takes you straight to our free rabbit-care library (safe foods, toxic plants, symptom help). And gift codes can be a memorable word now instead of a random jumble, so a code from a friend or rescue is easy to type in.
Open Appointments and you'll see a Next up card right away: your soonest visit with the date, a countdown, and a one-tap Get ready for this visit link. Everything else coming up sits just below it, so you never have to hunt for what matters most.
On a bigger screen, Ask now shows a calm helper card beside your question box, so the page feels welcoming from the moment you open it. If a reply ever flags an emergency, the call-your-vet-now line is bold and red, with a one-tap Call my vet button right there when it matters most.
Your bunny's Story keepsake now fills a big screen properly, with two happy highlights (how far they've come, your longest streak) sitting side by side up top. On a phone it's still one gentle scroll from beginning to end, exactly as it should feel.
On a computer, your bunny's health record and vet-ready tools now sit side by side instead of squeezed into a narrow column. On a phone, the page is shorter too, with the quick actions (check a symptom, log a dose) right at the top so they're never a long scroll away.
