These are the terms for using BunnyChart, made by Hareloom Studios, a sole proprietorship in British Columbia, Canada. We have written them in plain language. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. Please read the health section carefully, it is the most important part.
BunnyChart is not a veterinarian (please read this)
BunnyChart is a care companion and an educational tool. It does not provide veterinary advice, does not diagnose conditions, and does not prescribe treatment or doses. It is not a substitute for a qualified exotic vet.
For any sign of illness, injury, or distress, or any question about medication, surgery, or treatment, contact a licensed exotic vet right away, not the app. If your rabbit shows an emergency sign (such as not eating or pooping for 12 hours or more, a head tilt, trouble breathing, a seizure, bloating, or severe lethargy), call your exotic vet or the nearest emergency exotic hospital immediately.
We always recommend confirming anything you read here, including answers from Ask BunnyChart, with your own exotic vet. You make your own care decisions, and Hareloom Studios is not liable for outcomes that come from using the app in place of professional veterinary care.
Ask BunnyChart and AI answers
Ask BunnyChart is powered by an AI model. AI answers can be incomplete or wrong, are never a diagnosis, and do not know your rabbit’s full medical history. Treat them as a helpful starting point to discuss with your vet, not a final answer. You use AI answers at your own discretion.
Who can use BunnyChart
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. In Quebec, anyone under 14 needs a parent or guardian’s consent. One account per person, and you are responsible for keeping your sign-in secure and for activity on your account.
Using BunnyChart fairly
BunnyChart is under active development, so features may change, be added, or be removed. Please use it for its intended purpose: caring for your own rabbits. You agree not to misuse it, including: trying to break or overload the service, accessing another person’s account or data, scraping or copying the app, reverse engineering it, using it to harm an animal, or using it or its content to build a competing product or to train an AI model.
Emails we send
BunnyChart can send you helpful emails, such as daily care reminders and heat-stroke alerts for your area. You are in control: you can turn reminders on or off and set the time in Settings, and every reminder email has a one-click link to stop them. We send sign-in emails because they are needed to use your account.
Your data and your content
You own the information you add about yourself and your rabbits. You give us permission to store and process it only to run the app for you, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can export a full copy of your data, or permanently delete your account and everything in it, at any time from Settings.
Our content
BunnyChart’s software, design, text, logos, and the name BunnyChart and Hareloom Studios belong to us. We give you a personal, non-commercial licence to use the app while you follow these terms. Care information in the app is drawn from reputable sources such as the House Rabbit Society, the Rabbit Welfare Association and Fund, and exotic veterinary references, and is provided for education only.
Payments
BunnyChart is currently free. There are no charges today. If paid plans launch later, their terms (billing, renewals, cancellation, and refunds) will be added here, and you will be told clearly before anything is ever charged. We aim to keep a useful free plan available.
The app is provided as is
We work hard to make BunnyChart reliable, but it is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows. We do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose, and we do not guarantee any specific health or other outcome.
Limiting our liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hareloom Studios is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and is not liable for harm to or loss of any animal arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app. Where we are found liable despite this, our total liability to you is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the past 12 months (currently zero, as the app is free) or 100 Canadian dollars. Some places do not allow these limits, and where that applies to you, they apply only as far as the law allows. Your rights under applicable consumer protection law are not affected.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts other people, animals, or the service at risk. If we ever shut the service down, we will give reasonable notice and a chance to export your data.
The law that applies
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. If you live elsewhere, the mandatory consumer protections of your home region still apply to you.
Changes to these terms
If we update these terms, we will change the date at the top, and for any significant change we will let you know in the app or by email. Continuing to use BunnyChart after a change means you accept the updated terms.
