Hiding more than usual in rabbits

This is usually worth keeping an eye on. The main thing to watch: is your bunny still eating hay and passing normal poops? If either stops, call your exotic vet the same day. Otherwise, note when it started and keep an eye on their eating, pooping, and energy over the next day or two. If it hasn't settled by then, or anything gets worse, book a vet visit.
What it can mean
Hiding more than usual can be associated with fear (a new pet, a loud noise, a change in the home), pain or illness a rabbit is masking, or stress. Rabbits instinctively hide when they feel vulnerable, so unusual hiding that continues for more than a day or sits alongside other changes like not eating is worth a gentle vet check.
