What it can mean
Because head tilt is a vet emergency in rabbits, the vet's exam matters most, but it is most commonly associated with a middle or inner ear infection, or with E. cuniculi (a microscopic parasite that can affect the nervous system and balance). Less commonly it can be associated with a stroke, brain abscess, or head trauma. With prompt care, many rabbits recover well, so please contact your exotic vet now.
