Best avoidedAmong the most poisonous plants there are, and a different plant from the poison hemlock already on this list. The roots especially hold a fast-acting nerve poison that triggers violent seizures and stops the breathing, sometimes within hours. It grows by ditches, ponds and streams.
How much: Never feed. Never forage near water where this grows; any nibble is a dire emergency.
