Is crocus toxic to rabbits?

A sourced answer from House Rabbit Society and RWAF guidance. If your bunny has chewed this plant, call your exotic vet right away.

Crocus (spring crocus)

Best avoided

A spring bulb in the same risky group as daffodils and tulips. The corm (the underground bulb) is the most toxic part and causes drooling, gut upset and a rabbit going off its food. Important: this is the milder spring crocus; the autumn crocus is far deadlier (see its own entry).

How much: Never feed. Keep corms and planted beds out of reach.
