Is french and african marigold toxic to rabbits?
A sourced answer from House Rabbit Society and RWAF guidance. If your bunny has chewed this plant, call your exotic vet right away.
French and African marigold
Best avoidedAlthough pot marigold (Calendula) is safe, French and African marigolds (Tagetes) are a different plant and are mildly toxic, causing skin sensitisation and gut irritation. The visual similarity makes this a common, dangerous mix-up.
How much: Never feed. Only feed Calendula officinalis (pot marigold), not Tagetes.
