Best avoidedEggplant is a nightshade, and rabbit-welfare guidance lists the plant as toxic: the leaves, stems and green parts hold solanine, the same kind of toxin that makes potato leaves dangerous. Because the rest of the plant is clearly toxic and the fruit is debated, it is safest kept off the menu. Watch for drooling, gut upset, a hunched posture or wobbliness.
How much: Best avoided, including the leaves and stems. Do not offer eggplant to your rabbit.
